Light integrated into the furnishing elements

One of the most innovative features of LED lights sources is modularity. Thanks to the modularity it is possible to equip many objects and furnishing equipment such as shelving, bookcases, cabinets, containers, drawers, tables, chairs, mirrors, bathroom fixtures with their own light.

Integrated LED light: what it is?

Integrated light means incorporating, or integrating, light sources into objects with their wiring, drivers and controls. The single LED is a light source of small dimensions and not very powerful but, by aggregating several LEDs together on a special support (cards or ribbons equipped with printed circuits), a module is obtained, that is an element composed of a plurality of small light sources, which can take various forms (circular, square, rectangular, linearly developed). Based on the power of the LEDs and their spacing in the cards, the amount of lumens supplied by the module is established.

The LED strips

The LEDs mounted on linear modules in the form of a strip or strip - the “LED strips " -   having as stated a low unit power, generate a reduced amount of heat evenly distributed along their development. Consequently, due to thermal dissipation, an aluminum or PVC the profile is sufficient.   In the case of low power, just a simple metal sheet glued to the base with special mastics is enough to ensure maximum adherence with the printed circuit. The low heat makes the linear modules installable in contact with flammable materials, such as paper, cardboard, wood, and fabric.

CREST LED produces a wide range of high quality LED strips; power and luminous flux, lengths and widths, color temperatures vary. In the types for indoor environments the strips are pre-installed in extruded aluminum profiles, while in the products intended for exteriors, they are incorporated in watertight PVC-coated profiles with IP67 and IP68 degrees of protection.
